I can remember my first BMX bike was a Webco with coaster brake, heavy duty steel wheels with fat 105 guage spokes. Ashtabula stem and cranks with steel box bars. Big all rubber knobby tires front and back.

Great stuff changstar! I had no idea on the history of the Schwinn Sting Ray. My first bike was a Sting Ray. Candy apple red, chrome springer fork, 16" front wheel, red glitter bananna seat. When BMX hit Hawaii I did what most kids did and worked with what I had. Changed the seat to a ten speed seat. Put knobbies on and got rid of the springer seat. Removed the kick stand too. If I remember correctly I spray bombed it flat black too.

Soon after that I got a Mongoose Motomag from The Bike Shop......good times!
