Aww man--one of the greatest metal singers ever. Black Sabbath years were my favorites, although the Last in Line tour kicked a$$ at the Blaisedell in '85(?). The next weekend, we flew to Kauai for their big race, where Daniel Watanabe gave me one of Vivian Campbell's guitar picks he scored from bolohead row. I still have it. RIP RJD!

I remember that concert, Dokken opened, right? The back drops were epic, really set the mood for all the songs. I remember I bought the DIO vest.
Yup, pretty sure it was Dokken, but come to think of it, didn't he come back to Hawaii a few years later? I kinda remember Yngwie opening also....I must be getting old. Anyway, I found this at my mom's house.

That's cool!
After the concert, we go check out Cavern's and buy some spiked gauntlets.

I was shocked and bummed when i heard it too. Me and Dan watanabe hit every concert that came to Hawaii. We would slowly work our way up to the front and be watching just a few feet from the stage. Have no idea where all the stuff I collected is.
