what Fiola, Dominguez, Itson, Buff, Osborn, Haro, etc...are thinking when they are watching these guys do the tricks they do NOW on X-Games?
I mean, when I first saw someone actually do a Cherry Picker, I was like, "WHOA"!!! Tailwhip: "WHOA"!!! The Mug Rootbeer commercial with that dude Romero I think his name was doing those crazy spins on his back wheel: "WHOA"!!!
Cripes, now guys are doing front flips, flair tailwhips, double backflips, double flairs, 900's...
SHEESH!!!

Slingshot,
I was no park, vert or flatland rider. But, I know what you are saying. It's absolutely sick what they are doing now. We never even imagined tricks that they pull now. As for the racing side of BMX I can't believe they are clipped in now. I can't believe it's an Olympic sport too.......Blows my mind!

Yo "Legend"...
Yeah bro...I mean, I just watched the Best of XGames and cripes...NO WAY we woulda thought of doing that kinda stuff. Maybe into water, but never on land!

Was good to see Hoffman still going at it though...
I know a sheriff in Colorado, and he is still active in BMX...he never stopped since "our days". Cool brother, met the likes of Greg Hill, Stu, Eddie King, Leary, etc...Anyway, when he told me the dudes are clipped onto their pedals, I was like, screw that!!! He feels the same, and rides "OS style", no clipping onto his bike...he said they call guys like that "Flat Foots".

I tried road bikes for a while after BMX and had look pedals that clipped into your shoes. It freaked me out just riding on the street. I fell several times waiting for stop lights to change. Now to go around a track clipped and rubbing other riders into asphalt turns is insane! No wonder they all wear full face helmets now. When you go down it must be catastrophic. No way man. I gotta work the next day. I'll go OG baby! KKT's or DX's!

Yo Legend,
Hey bro, I give ya credit for even trying to ride clipped in...
Screw that! It's a very freaky feeling as you know, and uh...go DX's!!!
I would definitely be proud to be a "Flat Foot" BMXer!

You guys might be very surprised that ones like Fiola have stayed in shape and could still do some of the stuff that is happening now. check out his myspace and you will see. as for some of the others Woody Itson was just at Andy Shohara's 40th birthday party and boy all of these old timers still have it! and yes even our beloved the hawaiian boy Andy!! I saw some of his videos and yep he still can style the park! even at 40! Two shakas in the air for him!
