What else is everyone into now???
Trained Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for about 10 years now with the Onzuka's. Ufortunately I haven't trained for about 6months......nursing a knee injury. Other than that I spend most of my time with my 2 year old son. Best times of my life. [/u] I also have a 54 ford truck that I am trying to get back on the road.

Yo Hawaii 1979,

Cool. I was supposed to start training with a buddy of mine when Relson Gracie FIRST started training guys up at the UH. (Hey, remember that jump they had across the Pizza Hut???) Wish I had done that instead of surfing and lifting all the time...D'Oh!!!

Now days, I am into knives, firearms, I guess what you can call MMA stuff, and Kendo. Aside from that...

My job friggin' sucks, and trying to re-live my "Pre-XGames Freestyle" OS trickery is getting frustrating!!!Big Grin

Oh yeah, also into collecting all things Kamen Rider!!! LOL, now you guys GOTTA remember the Kamen Riders...in fact, my inspiration to learn how to jump came from V3!!! His intro on his show was killer!!! LOL!!!
Firearms and knives.....I hope I don't get on your bad side. Of course I remember V3......and Kikaida, 01, Robocon, Rainbow Man, Inazu man, Hakaida etc. Wish I had kept all my "dolls" ..........sorry...."action figures". I blew all of them up one year with firecrackers. If only I had known.

LMAO!!! Man, do you know how much those things would be worth NOW on ebay? D'Oh!!! I destroyed my fair share of doll...er, action figures. Same method of melting as you bro...muahahahhaaaaahhahahaaaaaaaaa!!! (Now I gotta go kick myself...)
I am still kicking myself for that. I had the complete set of Rainbow man.....Water man, leaf man, earth man....I forget the rest. I saved all my school lunch money to buy those one by one. I even walked from 1st ave in Kaimuki to Shirokiyas in ala Moana to get them. If I could go back in time I would kick my own a$$.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I had those as well...cripes, it's hard to even get episodes of Rainbow Man, let alone the figures!!! Sheesh...no wonder you rode fast...ya had a LOT of leg training at an early age! Shirkiyas and Hakubundo were pretty much the only places that sold these yeah? Not sure if Hotei-Ya or Iidas had them...I think they had some, but not much.

What about Microman...had any of those?

LOL, hey, how about we both kick ourselves in the @$$ "Kamen Ridah Style"! TOH!!!Rolleyes
I don't remember microman. Maybe it was a little after my time. How do you get copies of Rainbow man? I wouldn't mind seeing that for a little jaunt down memory lane. I remember seeing Kikaida at Farrington High School in the 70's for an exhibition. I have the Kikaida song as my ring tone. I have seen reruns of Kikaida a few years ago. My favorite of all time was Hakaida.....Baddest dude of them all. I have a Hakaida "doll" somewhere. But, not an old school collectable....I bought it a few years ago from Shirokiya. Got any pics of your collection?

Yo bro,

Microman...they were about "Star Wars figure sized", transparent bodies and limbs, usually colored, like see through blue, red, yellow, etc...their boots and hands were white, and they had silver heads that looked human. Very articulate figures. They had a module you attached to their abdominal section...like an engine. Also had wings you could attach to their backs, and Shirokiya only carried those. Naw bro, they are from our "time period"...the baddy was named Acroyear.

LOL, Kikaida ring tone!!! I had the Kamen Rider 1 as my answering thingy on my phone. I agree...Hakaida was a bad a$$!!! Did you see the Hakaida movie called, "Hakaider: Mechanical Violation"? Killer bro...I got a Hakaida doll also, from Toys N Joys in Kaimuki.

Oh man, my collection...I got some figures, but mostly these things called, "Gashapon" in Japan. They are figures you get from machines outside the stores like at Longs or Safeway, only their toys are better and cost way more. Highly detailed. Here's a couple shots:

Some Gashapon dudes:

That is a serious collection......or should I say "addiction"...Big Grin. Thanks for posting the pics. Some nice stuff indeed. I still for the life of me can't remember microman. I don't know why. I never saw the Hakaida movie. Is it out on DVD....I wonder if Netflix would have it.
