Howzit ALL,

"Flatland" in my days was riding anywhere and doing tricks. I mean, one of the best places to "take a break" and do rollback 540's was Washington Intermediate. Once in awhile, one of us would climb up on top the bus stop there, have someone hand us our bike, and then jump off. Stoopid. Everything was all good until you landed. LOL!!!

I wheelied the whole Ala Wai Canal (Waikiki side of course)...bunny hopping onto benches, doing endo's at the Taco Bell on King Street, and tire tapping all kinds of stuffs...messing around at Stadium Park or whatever...anywhere...

THAT was "flatland" to us back then.Big Grin

HOLY CATS slingshot, I only knew less than a fingerfull of guys who jumped off the Washington Int bus stop roof, reveal yourself! LOL

Wheelie kings (like "manual") and front wheel 540s was Walter, I think he jumped off the roof too, although I think I only saw Jeff Kang do it it person.

Washington Int had a jump there too, except if you flew too far, you'd ram into the fence fronting King St..

haha

OMG perfectnut...THEE Jeffrey KANG??? Whoa!!! Funny story, see, Kang would ride with us every so often...and that sucker was FAST. So anyway, I met him, and I forgot who else, and we were supposed to meet up at this game room that was "hidden" somewhere in the McCully area...anyway, so from The Bike Shop, I am leading the way, flying. I remember he tells me when we hit Froggy's, "Eh...why you going so fast?" D'Oh!!! I felt like an idiot.

Yes, Walter DID jump off that bus stop, in fact that is why I did it. Frick man, I swear, on the landing, it was like all your internals just sank down to your hips!!! LOL!!! I blooded my lip doing that on my CW bars upon landing...it wasn't something I did often, and it was funny when people were AT the bus stop!

Oh yeah, I remember that lil' jump. Ripped my shorts there once and rode all the way back up to my house at Aleiwa Heights to get a new pair on. There were a lot of tiny jumps there where them big tree roots were pushing up the asphalt in the parking lot.

Do you remember a guy they called "Crash"? He jumped off high stuff too. He flew off the highest wall at Ala Moana Park, near Magic Island. Walter did it too, but Crash landed and well.. crashed, but he did it.

Yes, back then the parking lot did have numberous cracks in the pavement, good memory.. LOL

Hmmmmmmm, "Crash"? I dunno...but I didn't know Walter jumped off that wall. I heard about it, but we hardly rode through Ala's. Do you remember that place by the Hawaii Kai Shopping Plaza? Kinda like, a secret hidden sand/dirt track...across some town houses IIRC...

Ho that Walter...he was a lil' NUT!!! LOL!!!
yah, that Walter is pretty talented a rider too..

i cant remember any jumps out there east side (hawaii kai shopping), i need to meditate on this one!

Man alive...what's up with the insane airs??? No worries about the 110...I think it was all "we" pretty much had.

The Hawaii Kai place was not "a" jump per se...it was more like a hidden track...

Remember when they had some construction going on near Kuakini Medical Center??? Couple jumps and some nutz woops over there...Big Grin
